The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and is fitted with air conditioning and flat screen satellite TV AND WIFI. A wonderful base to explore the beautiful town of Ayamonte and the many stunning beaches in Spain and Portugal. This apartment is ideal for summer holiday or winter break, there are many golf courses in the area so it could be used as a base for a golf and relaxing around the town. There is a spacious lounge with satelite TV for limited SKY channels and DVD player, there is also a sofa bed. The modern kitchen is well equipped to include Fridge/freezer, Microwave, etc. (Please ask for more information). This apartment is based in the pretty southern Andalusia fishing town of Ayamonte, located at the mouth of the River Guadiana, which is the natural border between Spain and Portugal. Villa Real do Santo Antonio, our Portuguese neighbour across the water, is 1 Km away by very pleasant ferry ride, or a 10 minutes drive across the impressive bridge. Ayamonte boasts many wonderful shops, boutiques, tapas bars and restaurants in the town centre, as well as banks, the post office, pharmacies, supermarkets, bus station etc. There is an indoor daily food market selling locally grown fruit and veg as well as a large variety of fresh meat and fish. Locally produced fresh bread can be purchased from the market too. Like all Spanish towns and villages, Ayamonte enjoys its festivals such as Carnival in January, Easter parades and the main Feria in September. These are quite spectacular and are well worth a visit. Ayamonte also has numerous churches, monuments and places of interest to view during your stay. This area is very tranquil and relaxing. We have a great choice of good value golf courses and lovely waterfront areas such as Isla Canela, Islantilla and Punta Umbria and of course the fantastic beaches of the Eastern Algarve, which offer long golden sandy beaches ideal for taking those lazy walks along the shoreline or just to enjoy the sunshine. There are a mixture of traditional beach restaurants (chiringuitos), coffee bars and restaurants to enjoy all along this coastline. Ayamonte is only 45 minutes by car from Portugal Faro airport in the west and 90 minutes from Seville airport to the east.
